Privacy Policy

This page describes what information made.work collects from early-access signups and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign up for early access, we store:
- Your email address.
- A one-way hashed version of your IP address (we do not store the raw IP).
- Your browser's user-agent string.
- An optional source tag indicating where on the page you signed up (e.g. "landing").
Why we collect it
Solely to notify you when made.work opens for early access. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
Your email remains on the list until early access opens (after which we may send a notification email) or until you request removal, whichever comes first.
Third parties
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the signup form to block automated submissions. Cloudflare does not receive your email address. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details about its own processing.
Cookies and local storage
We only set cookies and use browser storage for functions that are strictly necessary for the site to work. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and therefore do not require a cookie consent banner under the EU ePrivacy Directive. Specifically:
- Session cookie — set only when you sign in to the admin area at
/admin. Used to keep you logged in. Not set for ordinary visitors to the landing page or portfolios. - Cloudflare security cookies (e.g.
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) — set by Cloudflare to distinguish legitimate visitors from bots. Classified as strictly necessary for security. - Cloudflare Turnstile cookies — set only on
challenges.cloudflare.com(inside the Turnstile widget's iframe, not on made.work itself) while you complete the automated-submission check. - Theme preference — stored in your browser's
localStorage(not a cookie) if you toggle between light and dark mode on a portfolio. Contains only your chosen theme; never leaves your browser.
We will update this section if we add any non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics) in the future. At that point we will also introduce a proper consent banner.
